Is Zoo Boo for Kids?
ZooBoo is a fun family experience for itty-bitty ghouls and goblins as well as the bigger kids. October weather means active animals, colorful foliage and a new season to explore. Best of all, ZooBoo is free for Zoo members and included with regular admission.
Is the zoo Boo Cancelled?
The Smithsonian’s National Zoo has canceled two big seasonal events — Boo at the Zoo and ZooLights — due to COVID-19.
Can you leave the San Antonio zoo and come back?
Yes, once you leave you will need to depart at the Exit Gate. Tell the attendant that you want to return back, they will stamp you. Then you may re-enter the same day without paying again.
What is Boo at the Zoo?
Boo at the Zoo is a two-day “merry not scary” Halloween event for the whole family. Trick-or-treat stations, decorated trails and Zookeeper Chats make this fall weekend at Niabi perfect for the young and young at heart. Don’t forget your costume! Boo at the Zoo activities are free with paid zoo admission.
What is zoo poo?
Exotic manure is also known as zoo manure compost and consists of the manure from herbivore animals in zoos or rehabilitation centers. It may include elephant, rhinos, giraffes, camels, wildcat, ostrich, or zebra manure.

Does San Antonio Zoo have a Halloween event?
San Antonio Zoo kicks off ZOO BOO! presented by Valero Benefit for Children, a fun, non-scary Halloween event for the entire family. Little ghouls and goblins are encouraged to wear their best costume to participate in a daily costume contest with a chance to win a zoo prize pack.
How much does it cost to go to the San Antonio Zoo?
Admission to the zoo including the San Antonio Zoo lights starts at $19.94 for adults and $16.15.75 for children. But if you’re a member, you’ll be happy to know that it’s included with your membership.
What are the rules for trick or treat at Zoo Boo?
Guests will be required to form single-file lines when waiting to receive candy at our trick or treat stations throughout the zoo. Face masks/coverings are recommended for indoor areas, including restrooms, for all guests. All guests participating in Zoo Boo! trick or treating must have a bagwith them for Zoo Crew to place candy in.
What time do San Antonio Zoo Lights turn on?
The lights will be open from 12:00 – 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The lights will turn on at 6:00 p.m. daily. Open on holidays as well from 11/7-12/31. Are San Antonio Zoo Lights Open on Thanksgiving or Christmas?
