We looked at the Scandia 140 and it seemed the perfect size for where it was to go. There is one little problem with our new heater and that is regardless of the quality of the wood you are burning, it will not burn overnight. It is a design fault and/or poor workmanship.

Can you remove the liners on a scandia firebox?

This has made removing the liners impossible. I emailed Scandia direct and was told that the firebox liners are a consumable item i.e they are known to warp therefore you have to keep on replacing them. Not what I expected and they should make that known when you purchase one.
