What is the English writing score on ACT?
Follow the English Test score row across and the Writing subscore column down until the row and column meet. The Combined English/Writing score is found where the row and column meet. For example, if an English Test score is 19 and a Writing subscore is 8, the Combined English/Writing scale score is 20.
Does the essay affect ACT score?
The writing test is an essay, and does not have a multiple-choice element. Although students taking the ACT Plus Writing will receive a Combined English/Writing score, taking the Writing Test does not affect your English Test score or your Composite score.
Who is the act scored?
A student’s raw score for a section is converted to a scaled score, which ranges between a 1 and a 36, with 36 being the highest possible score. Students receive a scaled score for each of the four multiple-choice test sections (English, Math, Reading, and Science).
Is 30 a bad ACT score?
