How long should a Saniflo last?

The lifetime of a Saniflo depends mainly on proper installation and proper use. However, devices typically have a lifetime of 10 to 15 years with minimal maintenance, i.e. cleaning-descaling annually, and, depending on the quality of the water in your region, the replacement of the pressure switch membrane.
Can a Saniflo be repaired?

How do you take apart a Saniflo?
Most Saniflo pumps are located underneath the motor, sitting in the water tank. To access this, lift the motor out of the Saniflo and turn the unit upside down. You will now be able to see the pump impellers. Using the pliers, clear the blockage and slot the motor back into place.
Can you plunge a Saniflo toilet?
Saniflo systems allow you to install a toilet in any room of any building where there is access to a waste disposal pipe. Because of this, if you get a clog or blockage in your Saniflo, you cannot simply plunge the toilet to unblock it or you may damage the macerator.
Why is my Saniflo leaking?

Do macerator toilets smell?
Bad smells can be due to a build-up of limescale and human waste in the 2-3 inches of water that’s always left in the Saniflo. Saniflo’s should be descaled now and again, but always read the label/instructions of the product. If you’ve never descaled your macerator then you may have to do this a few times.
