Does UC consider alternate majors?
The UC application allows you to choose an alternate major, but we only guarantee the review of first-choice majors. For students who chose a major outside the College in one of our professional schools, check with the school to see if a supplemental application or any other action is required.

Do UC’s look at extracurricular activities?
Yes! The UC do look at volunteer hours and extracurricular activities. It helps distinguish the applicant.
Can you pass 7th grade with 2 F’s?
Dear F’s is fail, so you will have to give a retest and if you pass in that retest exam you will be promoted to 7th standard. Good luck!
What letter grade is a 3.25 GPA?
A 3.2 GPA, or Grade Point Average, is equivalent to a B letter grade on a 4.0 GPA scale, and a percentage grade of 83–86.
Is 75 a bad grade?
The average grade is 86 or 87, so 75 is pretty bad. In this instance, a B average (or a 3.0 GPA) would be considered a great accomplishment.

What does a 0.5 GPA mean?
0.5 points are usually added to the unweighted GPA for those courses, meaning an A would be equivalent to a 4.5. Grades in low-level classes are measured using the unweighted standard scale, so an A in those classes would be equivalent to a 4.0.

Is a 2.5 college GPA bad?
A 2.5 GPA doesn’t cause physical harm by itself. It does close doors that would be open to people with higher GPAs, whether that’s a job or graduate school. However, attending college is above average academic achievement and a 2.5 GPA is barely passing for many programs, so it’s not usually defined as failure.

When you start at university, any mark over 50% is a great grade. Getting a mark over 50% means that you are beginning to understand the difficult work of your degree. Getting over 60% is excellent because it means you have demonstrated a deep knowledge of your subject to the marker.
