What is Hpbw?
Half Power Beam Width or HPBW is an angular width (in degrees), measured on the major lobe of an antenna radiation pattern at half-power points i.e the points at which the signal power is half that of its peak value. Beam width is the area where most of the power is radiated, which is the peak power.
What is azimuth pattern?
The azimuth plane pattern is formed by slicing through the 3D pattern in the horizontal plane, the x-y plane in this case, just as you would slice through a bagel. Notice that the azimuth plane pattern is non-directional, that is, the antenna radiates its energy equally in all directions in the azimuth plane.
